Seeley Wastewater Improvements

The County of Imperial was awarded $500,000 from the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), through its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program to assist the Seeley County Water District fund the Seeley Wastewater Improvements Project. The project consist in converting the west abandoned facultative pond into an aeration pond by slightly extending the existing influent raw wastewater forcemain to the northwest corner of the existing west aeration pond, install electrical circuitry to allow for the transfer of six aerators install an HDPE liner within the pond, and construct a concrete access service ramp and road at the bottom of the pond. The project began construction April 13, 2015 and is to be completed by August 31, 2015.
